Orchard Fruit Crumble

Ingredients

225g (8oz) plums, halved and pitted
225g (8oz) baking apples, peeled cored and chopped
(40g (1 ½ oz) light or dark muscovado sugar)
25g (1oz) polyunsaturated margarine
75g (2 ¾ oz) Jordan's original crunchy cereal with raisins and almonds

Method

Put the plums, apples (and sugar) into a saucepan with 5 tablespoons of water. Heat and simmer gently until soft and pulpy, about 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4/180C/350F. Spoon the fruit filling into a baking dish or four ramekin dishes.

Melt the margarine in a saucepan and stir in the cereal. Sprinkle evenly over the surface of the fruit.

Bake for 10-15 minutes, until crunchy and light golden brown.
