What we offer

Eatsome works with both groups and individuals throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with all age groups promoting healthy eating through practical and realistic sessions.

We offer a range of activities and support all with the aim of improving diet and lifestyle.

How can you promote healthy eating in your community?

  • Set up a cookery club to try new recipes, learn from each other, make cheaper meals, and socialise.
  • Start growing vegetables either in your own garden or window box, or as part of an allotment group. You could even set up a vegetable swap scheme with neighbours for more variety.
  • Set up a food co-operative and reap the benefits of local crops from farmer’s markets, farm shops, roadside vendors or local wholesalers. Buying in bulk and in season will reduce the cost of the produce you buy.
  • Join the Health Promotion Resource Centre and find out about healthy eating and healthy living. Think about how to make it practical in your life.
  • Encourage local retailers to stock more healthy options and local produce.
  • Provide healthy options, such as fruit, when you have group meetings or at luncheon clubs. The websites on our links page may help you develop a healthy eating project or a better understanding of diet and nutrition.
  • Why not have a look in our resources section to see what we can loan out to help you run your cooking sessions?
