Eatsome run Healthy Eating and Cooking sessions throughout Cornwall.
Provide the knowledge, skills and confidence required to make positive changes to dietary habits.
Suitable for anyone who would benefit from a healthier balanced diet, including those suffering from hypertension, dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes, weight issues and many more.
As well as cooking basic meals to fit in with your particular needs, for example family meals or cooking for one, we can cover the key messages around healthy eating and other topics such as budgeting and food storage.
The aim of the sessions is for everyone to have a go and gain confidence in cooking, maybe try some new tastes and recipes and have some fun.
Eatsome will provide the ingredients, staff and equipment for the session.

A typical menu for the first session might be:
Country Fresh Soup with Cheese Scones
Mixed Bean Chilli with Spinach Pilau Rice
Discussion topics would include Salt, Fat & Sugar in foods, portion sizes, label reading, healthy eating key messages around the Eatwell Plate and 5 A DAY.
