Cooking sessions

Eatsome group cooking sessions are generally up to a maximum of 2 hours long.  We can offer up to 4 sessions and as well as cooking basic meals to fit in with your particular group's needs, for example family meals or cooking for one, we can cover the key messages around healthy eating and other topics such as budgeting and food storage. 

 

The aim of the sessions is for everyone to have a go and gain confidence in cooking, maybe try some new tastes and recipes and have some fun. 

The number of people in the group will depend on a suitable venue being available.  Eatsome will provide the ingredients, staff and equipment for the session.

A typical menu for the first session might be:

Country Fresh Soup with Cheese Scones

Mixed Bean Chilli with Spinach Pilau Rice

Fruit Crumble

Discussion topics would include food hygiene, healthy eating key messages around the Eatwell Plate and 5 A DAY.
