Dunheved Bowling Club
Mavis Gribble, from Dunheved Bowling Club in Launceston has been running a ‘soup and sweet' lunch since January 2008. They have currently run 2 sessions for adults providing homemade soup & sweet to 40 to 50 people.
Mavis says the best part of the project is having a low cost meal for the elderly in particular. They particularly enjoy the get together for the senior members. The project is open to anyone; the group meets at the club with a charge for the lunch. Please contact Mavis Gribble on 01566 772604 for more information.
Mavis added that the hardest part of running the project is the lack of crockery & cutlery. They were not eligible for an Eatsome Bite Size Grant as unfortunately they did not meet the criteria, if you have any spare bowls and cutlery that they could put to good use, please contact us as Eatsome, so we can pass your details to Mavis at Dunheved Bowling Club.
