Killock Farm is a locally run family farm which grows fruit and vegetables all year round. The farm also rears its own Beef and Lamb which is also sold in the shop along with locally sourced Pork and Poultry. The farm also supplies the shop with free range eggs, as well as the new bakery supplying many items including their own pasties.Killock have promised to use their own produce as much as possible, but they do sometimes source alternative items when they need to maintain  the high standard promised to us.  

Reason for Planning the Project

• We are aiming to help families in the Bude area to have the opportunity to buy local fruit and veg’ from a local source
• To support local producers
• Helping those who do not have the transport to visit the farm shop, to be able to still purchase the produce

Aims and Objectives for the Project

• To heighten awareness of nutrition and the importance of a healthy diet
• Encouraging families to implement the five a day programme
• To encourage families to look at the cost of buying ready prepared meals against using fresh ingredients

 Practicalities

• The boxes are £4.50 each
• Orders must be given and paid to Lucy (Admin Assistant)  on a Wednesday
• Lucy will phone the orders through on a Thursday
• Families have a choice of Veg, Fruit or a mixture of both
• The farm shop are also happy if there are specific items that are not wanted in the box, as well as items that are specially requested
• The boxes are ones that have already been used therefore they are being recycled
• The veg boxes are delivered on a Friday at 1 o clock
