Get Cooking Training
This is a two-day course with the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge required in order to set up and run your own cooking club/group. We can also offer shadowing support for sessions to help things get started. The course aims to:
- Explore what is meant by healthy eating
- Give a background to food projects
- Discuss the role and responsibilities of a cookery club leader
- Develop an understanding of group work and community development
- Discuss the practicalities of running a cooking club e.g. costings, recruiting participants, planning sessions, equipment etc.
- Offer a practical scenario session in cooking run by the participants
- Offer the Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate

Time: 9:30am - 4:30pm
Cost: £30 (£20 day 1 & £10 day 2) to contribute towards the cost of lunch, a resource pack and the exam paper.
