Get Cooking Training For Care Providers and Support Workers - for those working with people with learning disabilities
This is a one day course for care providers and support workers who work with people with learning disabilities - to help you understand the key healthy eating messages and how to pass these on and use them appropriately with service users.
You will take part in a practical cooking session in the hope that you will then assist your service user in cooking.
We will cover your responsibilities in feeding your service users.
The expectation is that you will promote the knowledge and skills gained from the course within your setting and with your service users.
This course is more suitable for carers and activity co-ordinators who are working hands on with service users. The Menu Planning and Weight Management course would be more appropriate for chefs and cooks preparing food for service users (see below).
